Paulo César Díaz Huincales (born on August 25, 1994), known as Paulo Díaz, is a professional football player from Chile. He plays as a defender, usually in the center, for River Plate, a big club in Argentina. He also plays for the national team of Chile.

Playing for His Country
Paulo first joined the Chilean national team in January 2015. His first game was a friendly match against the United States. He has played many games for Chile since then.
Confederations Cup
In 2017, Paulo was part of the Chilean team that played in the FIFA Confederations Cup. This was a big tournament where champions from different continents played. Chile reached the final but finished as runners-up.
About Paulo's Life
Paulo comes from a family of footballers. His dad, Ítalo Díaz, was also a defender for the Chilean national team. Paulo's younger brother, Nicolás, is also a Chilean international player. This means football runs in their family!
His family has Mapuche roots, which is an indigenous group from Chile. In 2024, Paulo became an Argentine citizen because he lives there.
