Football Career Highlights

Paulo Garcés started his professional football career in 2003. His first game was against Santiago Wanderers at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium. Early in his career, he was loaned to other teams like Deportes Puerto Montt in 2004 and 2007 to gain more experience.

After playing for Deportes Puerto Montt, he was loaned to a Mexican team called Lobos BUAP. This gave him a chance to play football in another country. Later, he returned to Chile and played for Everton de Viña del Mar. In 2009, he went back to his first club, Universidad Católica, hoping to become a regular player.

Winning Championships

Garcés has been part of several winning teams throughout his career.

In 2013, he helped O'Higgins win the Apertura 2013–14 championship. He played 16 matches and was a very important player in the final game against Universidad Católica, making crucial saves.

In 2014, his team O'Higgins also won the Supercopa de Chile. Garcés was part of the Chile national team at that time, so he did not play in the Supercopa match.

He also played in the 2014 Copa Libertadores, which is a big international club tournament. His team faced clubs like Deportivo Cali, Cerro Porteño, and Lanús.

In 2021, Garcés played for San Luis de Quillota in the Primera B league. Later that year, he joined Deportes Valdivia in the Segunda División Profesional de Chile.

In January 2024, he was announced as a player for Deportes Linares, but he decided not to join them. Instead, he renewed his contract with Deportes Valdivia. In June of the same year, he moved to his current club, Unión San Felipe.
