How His Music Journey Began
When Paulo was a teenager, he watched the movie 8 Mile, which stars the rapper Eminem. The film inspired him so much that he decided he wanted to be a rap artist.
To practice, he started making up rhymes on the spot, which is called freestyle rapping. He would do this with his friends in public squares in Argentina. This helped him get over his shyness and get noticed.
At age 14, he entered his first freestyle competition. At first, he didn't do very well because his style was more musical and less aggressive than the other rappers. But he kept practicing and competing for about five years. He became well-known in a famous freestyle battle league called El Quinto Escalón and soon moved into making Latin trap music.
Career and Rise to Fame
First Big Hits
Paulo's professional career started in 2017 when he released his song "Relax" online. Unlike many other artists in his genre, Paulo's songs do not talk about violence or other negative themes.
He became a superstar with hit songs like "Nena Maldición" and "Te Amo". His song "Cuando Te Besé" with singer Becky G was a massive success. It was the very first song to reach number one on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart. His song "Adán y Eva" also became a number-one hit.
Working with International Stars
In 2019, Paulo's fame went global when he worked with British singer Ed Sheeran. He was featured on the song "Nothing on You" along with the rapper Dave. Later that year, he released "Party," a song with American rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
A Break from Music
In 2020, Paulo had a disagreement with his record label, Big Ligas. He said that the company had tricked him into signing an unfair contract. Because of this legal problem, he was unable to release any new music for several years. His lawyers had to work to solve the issue so he could end his contract and make music again.
