Pavol Habera (born Pavel Habera on April 12, 1962), also known as Paľo Habera, is a famous Slovak singer, musician, and actor. He became very popular in the 1980s as the lead singer of the rock band TEAM. Later, he also had a very successful solo music career. Many people know him today as a judge on the TV music shows SuperStar Search Slovakia and SuperStar. These shows are like the British TV series Pop Idol.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Pavol Habera first studied economics in school. But he soon found his true passion was music. Before he joined the army, he sang in a band called Tristo hrmených. Another musician, Andrej Šeban, was also in this band. Later, Habera sang in another band called Burčiak, also with Šeban. After his time in the army, he played with a band called Avion.
Joining the Band TEAM
In 1988, Habera joined TEAM. This was a pop rock band from the city of Martin. When Pavol Habera became their new lead singer, the band became much more famous. He is still the frontman of TEAM today.
Pavol Habera's Career Highlights
In 1991, Pavol Habera won two important music awards. These were the Zlatý slavík and Anděl awards. The very next year, he started his own solo music career, which was also very successful.
Judging on SuperStar
Habera was a judge on the Slovak TV show SuperStar Search Slovakia. This show was a music competition. Since 2009, he has been a judge on SuperStar. This version of the show is made by both Czech and Slovak TV.

Pavol Habera has also written songs for other famous singers. One of them was Karel Gott. Habera wrote the hit song "Když muž se ženou snídá" for Gott in 1992. In 1993, he wrote "Svet lásku má". He sang this song with Karel Gott and opera singer Peter Dvorský.

Pavol Habera lived in the United States for four years. He now lives in Prague. He is married to Czech model Daniela Peštová. They have a daughter and a son together. Pavol Habera also has another daughter, Zuzana, from an earlier marriage.
