Peadar Lamb (born 1930 – died September 1, 2017) was a famous Irish actor. He was well-known for acting in many plays in the Irish language. He also played King Fin Varra in the TV show Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog and was the voice of Old Piggley Winks in the children's cartoon Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks.

Early Life
Peadar Lamb grew up in a place called An Cheathrú Rua, also known as Carraroe, in Ireland. His father, Charles Lamb, was a well-known painter. Peadar Lamb trained at the famous Abbey Theatre and first appeared on stage in 1954.
Career
Theatre Performances
Peadar Lamb had a long acting career in theatre that lasted over 60 years! During this time, he played many different characters. He appeared in plays by famous writers like Brendan Behan, Dion Boucicault, and Seán O'Casey. Some of his well-known roles included:
- Estragon in Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot
- Dunlavin and Warder Regan in The Quare Fellow (Brendan Behan's first play)
- Monsewer in The Hostage and An Giall
- Police informer Harvey Duff in The Shaughraun
- Myles na Coppaleen in The Colleen Bawn
- Brennan o' the Moor in Red Roses For Me
- Mr. Gallogher in The Shadow of a Gunman
He also played Curly in John Murphy's The Country Boy and the blind man in W. B. Yeats' On Baile's Strand. In 2002, Peadar Lamb and his wife, Geraldine Plunkett, acted together in a play called Hummin.
Television Roles
Lamb appeared in many TV shows on RTÉ One, which is a TV channel in Ireland. These included the soap operas Fair City and Ros na Rún. He was also in an episode of the funny show Father Ted in 1998. He played Mr. Hasson in the British movie The Railway Station Man, acting alongside famous actors Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie.
Kids might know him best as fairy King Fin Varra in the TV series Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, which was based on old Irish stories. He also lent his voice to Old Piggley Winks in the children's cartoon Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks.
Teaching Young Actors
Before becoming a full-time actor, Peadar Lamb was a primary school teacher. Later in his life, he taught young actors at the Abbey School of Acting, which was where he had studied himself.
Personal Life
Peadar Lamb married actress Geraldine Plunkett in 1965. They had seven children together.
Peadar Lamb passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Glenageary, Ireland, on September 1, 2017. He was 87 years old.
