This community is found right next to the Osage Fork Gasconade River. It's just a bit upstream from where Missouri Route J crosses the river. Also, a smaller stream called Parks Creek joins the Osage Fork very close to Pease.
The Story of Pease
Pease has a short but interesting history. A post office was opened in the community in 1885. A post office is a place where people can send and receive mail. It was a very important building for people living in the area back then. This post office served the community for many years until it closed in 1921.
The community of Pease was named after an early settler in the area. His name was George Pease. A "pioneer citizen" is someone who was among the first people to settle and live in a new place.
