Soon after, they traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to start their new life. They first lived in Chester, Pennsylvania. This was while their new home was being built on their land across the Delaware River.

Naming the Area

Old Quaker records from the 1720s called the area "Pedricks Neck." Many birth records of Roger and Rebekah's family members list their birthplace as "Pedricksburg." This shows how important the Pedrick family was to the early history of the community.
