Perú Cola is a popular range of soft drinks from Peru. It's a brand owned by the company Embotelladora Don Jorge S.A.C.. This company used to bottle drinks for other big brands like Coca-Cola and Inca Kola. Perú Cola was first introduced in Peru in 2002. This happened after the Coca-Cola Company took over the Inca Kola brand.
You can find Perú Cola in different sizes. It comes in glass bottles of 500 ml. It's also sold in plastic (PET) bottles of 500 ml, 1.5 liter, 2.2 liter, and 3.3 liter sizes. In May 2018, another company called Ajegroup bought the group that owns the Perú Cola brand.
Fun Promotions
In September 2010, Embotelladora Don Jorge S.A.C. launched an exciting promotion. They teamed up with the popular TV show Al Fondo Hay Sitio from América Televisión. This promotion featured the show's characters on labels of Perú Cola and Isaac Kola bottles.
The 500 ml and 1.5 liter Perú Cola bottles had fun drawings (caricatures) of 14 different characters. The larger bottles (2.2 liters and 3.3 liters) showed groups of characters. But that's not all! Inside the peel-off labels, there were cool stickers. You could collect 50 different stickers, each with one of 16 characters from the show. The 500 ml and 1.5 liter bottles had one sticker each. The 2.2 liter bottles came with two stickers, and the 3.3 liter bottles had three stickers. This promotion officially ended in November 2010.
In January 2011, the company started a second promotion for Al Fondo Hay Sitio. This time, they offered a new set of sticker-tattoos (like temporary tattoos). These also featured new drawings of characters from the TV show. These tattoos were found on 500 ml plastic bottles of Perú Cola and Isaac Kola. You could even order a special album for these stickers from a website!
