Peregrine Bertie, the 3rd Duke of Ancaster and Kesteven, was an important figure in 18th-century England. He was born in 1714 and passed away on August 12, 1778.
Before he became a Duke, he was known by different titles. From 1715 to 1723, he was called Lord Willoughby de Eresby. Later, from 1735 to 1742, he was known as the Marquess of Lindsey. He was the son of Peregrine Bertie, who was the 2nd Duke of Ancaster and Kesteven.

He first married Elizabeth Blundell on May 22, 1735. She was a widow and sadly passed away in 1743.
Later, on November 27, 1750, he married Mary Panton. She became known as Mary, Duchess of Ancaster and Kesteven.
