His older brother is Sir Merlin Sereld Victor Gilbert Hay, 12th Baronet Moncreiffe, 24th Earl of Erroll, who is also the Chief of Clan Hay. Peregrine himself is the Chief of Clan Moncreiffe and holds the title of Baron of Moncreiffe.

Peregrine Moncreiffe attended Eton College, a famous school in England. After that, he went to Christ Church, Oxford, which is a part of the well-known University of Oxford. His Career and Roles
