Petar Kralj's Life and Acting Career
Petar Kralj was born in Zagreb, which is now in Croatia. His family was Serbian. During World War II, his family moved to Syrmia, where he grew up.
He finished high school in Novi Sad. After that, he studied acting at the University of Arts in Belgrade. This is where he learned to become the great actor he was.
Petar Kralj started his acting journey at the Atelje 212 theater. He performed on stage about 3,000 times! He also acted in more than 200 films and TV shows. He became one of the most famous Serbian actors.
In December 2000, a Serbian newspaper called Večernje novosti made a list. They ranked him as the eighth best Serbian actor of the 20th century. In 2005, he played the main character in The Collector. This was the first science fiction TV series made in Serbia.
Petar Kralj passed away in Belgrade when he was 70 years old.
