Peter Collins (Irish: Peadar Ó Coileáin) is a well-known Irish sportscaster. He works for Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). This is Ireland's national TV and radio broadcaster. You can often see him presenting live sports. He covers soccer, Gaelic games, Formula One, and track & field athletics. He also covers Moto GP. He currently presents international soccer matches. He covers the Champions League and the League of Ireland.
Peter Collins was born in Westport. This town is in County Mayo, in the west of Ireland. He played football for a local team called Westport United FC. In 1987, he won a special award with his team. It was called the Connaught Cup medal. Peter is also a father.

Before focusing on sports, Peter worked in radio. He was a late-night DJ on a station called 2FM. He also sometimes presented a TV and radio show. It was called The Beatbox. This show was broadcast on both TV and radio at the same time.
