Peter Szymon Serafinowicz (born 10 July 1972) is a talented English actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter. You might know his voice from famous movies like Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), where he was the voice of Darth Maul. He also played Pete in Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Garthan Saal in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Peter also voiced Big Daddy in the animated movies Sing (2016) and Sing 2 (2021). On TV, he created and starred in comedy shows like Look Around You (2002–2005) and The Peter Serafinowicz Show (2007–2008). He has lent his voice to many cartoon characters in shows such as Archer, Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, and American Dad!. Early life and education
Peter Szymon Serafinowicz was born in Gateacre, Liverpool, England, on 10 July 1972. His mother, Catherine, worked at a post office, and his father, Szymon, was a scaffolder. Peter has a brother named James, who became a film producer, and a sister named Helen, who is a writer.
When Peter was three, his family moved to the Belle Vale area of Liverpool. He went to Our Lady of the Assumption Primary School there. At 14, his family moved back to Gateacre, and he attended St Francis Xavier's College. He once said that his childhood was very happy, even though Belle Vale was a bit rough.
Career highlights

Peter Serafinowicz started his career in broadcasting in 1993 on a Radio 1 show called The Knowledge. After that, he appeared in many Radio 4 shows.
In 1999, he had guest roles in the Channel 4 comedy show Spaced. He played Duane Benzie, who was the rival of the main character, Tim Bisley. He returned for another appearance in the show in 2001.
In 2002, Peter co-created and starred in Look Around You on BBC Two. This show was a funny parody of 1970s school science programs. He played a scientist in the show, which he wrote with Robert Popper. The show came back in 2005 as a spoof of Tomorrow's World, with Peter playing one of the presenters.
In 2004, he appeared in the popular British zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, playing Pete, the neat-freak flatmate. He also acted in the boxing film The Calcium Kid.
