Peter Zeidler (born August 8, 1962) is a German football manager. He is currently the manager for FC Lausanne-Sport in the Swiss Super League. A football manager is like the head coach of a team. They decide who plays, what strategies to use, and how the team trains.

Peter Zeidler's Coaching Journey
Starting His Career
Peter Zeidler began his coaching journey in 2002. His first team as a manager was VfR Aalen. Three years later, he became the manager for 1. FC Nürnberg II. After coaching Stuttgarter Kickers for one year, he spent three years as an assistant coach. He worked with Ralf Rangnick at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Coaching in France and Austria
In 2011, Zeidler moved to France. He became the head coach of Tours, a team in Ligue 2. In 2012, he joined FC Liefering. This team is the second team for the well-known Red Bull Salzburg club. On June 22, 2015, he was promoted to be the head coach of the main Red Bull Salzburg team. However, on December 3, 2015, he was replaced by another coach, Thomas Letsch.
Recent Coaching Roles
On June 1, 2017, Peter Zeidler was named the manager of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. He then spent six years leading FC St. Gallen in Switzerland. On June 3, 2024, he left St. Gallen to take on a new role. He became the manager for VfL Bochum in Germany. However, he was sacked from this position in October 2024. On June 21, 2025, he returned to the Swiss Super League. He took over as manager for FC Lausanne-Sport.
