How Petrey Got Its Name
The town of Petrey was named after a man who owned a very large cotton farm. When the railroad company wanted to build a train station on his land, he agreed. So, the railroad company decided to name the new train station after him. Over time, the area around the station grew into the town we now know as Petrey.
