Pfäffikon is the main town in the municipality of Freienbach. It is located in the canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. Along with Wollerau, Pfäffikon is an important town in the district of Höfe. It is also a central place in the Ausserschwyz region.
This town, which used to be a farming area, is now known for its many financial companies. Pfäffikon has about 7,200 people living there. This makes it the third largest town in the canton, after Küssnacht and Einsiedeln.

Getting Around
The town is easy to reach by car. It is located right on the A3 motorway.
The Pfäffikon SZ railway station is a busy place for trains. It is the starting point for the Zürich S-Bahn line S5. It is also a stop for the S40 line, which goes to Rapperswil. Other train lines, like S2, S8, and S25, also stop here. These lines travel along the left side of Lake Zürich through Horgen.
A train ride from Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Zurich's main train station) to Pfäffikon can take between 25 and over 40 minutes.
