Beatrice Egli grew up in a family of butchers from Austria and Switzerland. She loved singing from a very young age, starting when she was just nine years old. By the time she was 14, she began taking singing lessons. She also started performing at local folk festivals.

After Winning DSDS
After winning Deutschland sucht den Superstar, Beatrice released her winning song, "Mein Herz." This song quickly became number one in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Her album, Glücksgefühle, also became very popular. It reached the top spot on the Swiss Albums Chart and was number two in Germany and Austria. To share her new music, Beatrice went on a Glücksgefühle Tour in 2013.
On October 24, 2014, she released another album called Bis hierher und viel weiter. This album was recorded in Berlin. The first song from this album was Auf die Plätze, fertig, ins Glück, and its music video was filmed in New York City. Beatrice then started her Pure-Lebensfreude tour. This album also reached number one in Switzerland. The next single from the album was Wir leben laut, and its video showed clips from her tour.
