Early Life and Music Journey
Beatrice Egli comes from a family of butchers in Switzerland. She started singing when she was just nine years old. By the time she was 14, she was taking singing lessons and performing at folk festivals.
In 2007, Beatrice worked with an experienced artist named Lys Assia. They released an album together called Sag mir wo wohnen die Engel (which means 'Tell me where do the Angels live'). The main song from this album became a single. In April 2007, she joined a folk music competition called the Grand Prix der Volksmusik. She made it to the final 16 and finished in 12th place.
In 2009, Beatrice performed on a live TV show called Musikantenstadl. This show is popular in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland and features folk and Schlager music. She sang a song called "Lippenstift." Before becoming a full-time singer, she briefly trained as a hairdresser.
