Philip Ardagh is a well-known English author. He writes many books, especially for children. He is famous for his funny Eddie Dickens book series. Philip Ardagh has written over 100 books. These include stories for kids and non-fiction books.
In 2004 and 2005, Ardagh worked with Sir Paul McCartney. They also worked with artist Geoff Dunbar. Together, they created McCartney's first children's book. It is called High in the Clouds.

Grubtown Tales: Funny Stories for Kids
In 2009, Philip Ardagh started a new book series. It was called Grubtown Tales. The first book was Stinking Rich & Just Plain Stinky. This book won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. It was named the funniest book that year.
The Grubtown Tales series has seven full-length books. It also includes a short story called The Great Pasta Disaster. This short story was a special book for World Book Day in 2010. Jim Paillot drew the pictures for this series.
Eddie Dickens: A Series of Adventures
Eddie Dickens is a main character in a series of six books. The first book is called Awful End. The last book in the series is Final Curtain. The first Eddie Dickens book was published in 2000.
Stick & Fetch Investigate: Detective Duo
This book series started in 2018. It is for younger readers, usually ages 5 to 8. The series features two best friends. They are Sally Stick and her dog, Fetch. They work together as detectives. Elissa Elwick creates the illustrations for these books.
