Pico Maldito is a very tall mountain peak in the Pyrenees mountain range. It stands at 3,350 meters (about 11,000 feet) above sea level. This makes it the fourth highest peak in the entire Pyrenees!
Where is Pico Maldito?
This impressive mountain is found in Spain. It is located in the province of Huesca, which is part of the Aragon region. Specifically, you can find it near the town of Benasque.
Pico Maldito is also part of a special protected area called the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. A natural park is a place where nature is kept safe and beautiful. It is a home for many plants and animals.
The mountain is part of a larger group of peaks called the Macizo de la Maladeta, or Maladeta Massif. This area is in the lovely Benasque Valley. The rocks that make up Pico Maldito are very old. They are mostly made of a type of rock called granite.
