Right next to it is another very high mountain called Pico Cristóbal Colón. These two peaks are almost the same height. Sometimes, one is a tiny bit taller than the other, but they are both super impressive. They are so tall that they always have a cap of snow and ice on their tops, even in sunny Colombia!
Pico Simón Bolívar is part of a special mountain range called the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. This range is unique because it's a coastal mountain range, meaning it's close to the sea. The mountain is named after Simón Bolívar, a very important leader in South American history.
