Pierfrancesco Favino (born August 24, 1969) is a famous Italian actor and movie producer. He is one of Italy's most celebrated actors and has won many important awards for his performances. These include the David di Donatello award, which is like an Italian Oscar, and the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
Favino is known for playing a wide variety of characters. In Italy, he gained fame for his roles in movies like Romanzo Criminale (2005), Suburra (2015), and The Traitor (2019). For his role in Padrenostro (2020), he won the Best Actor award at the 77th Venice International Film Festival.

Early Life and Acting Start
Pierfrancesco Favino was born in Rome, Italy. His parents were from the Apulia region in Southern Italy. He started his acting career in the early 1990s, performing in plays and on television shows.
He appeared in over 40 European movies and TV shows. Some of his early important films include The Last Kiss and The Keys to the House. In 2006, he won a David di Donatello award for his powerful performance in the crime movie Romanzo Criminale. This award helped make him a major star in Italy.
Success in Hollywood Movies
Favino's talent was also noticed by American filmmakers. In 2006, he played a statue of Christopher Columbus that comes to life in the popular family movie Night at the Museum.
In 2008, he played the serious General Glozelle, the leader of the Telmarine army, in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. He has also worked with the famous director Ron Howard on two movies. He was Inspector Ernesto Olivetti in Angels & Demons (2009) and race car driver Clay Regazzoni in Rush (2013).
