He is most famous for his work on popular TV shows like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and Conan. He also had a funny recurring segment called "Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage". In this part of the show, he would sit in a comfy chair and complain about things that bothered him. His complaints were usually about specific topics like comic books, anime, drawing, or science fiction.

About Pierre Bernard Jr.

Pierre Bernard Jr. is a talented graphic designer. He worked for many years in advertising and marketing. He helped create storyboards and presentations for different companies. Later, he became the main graphic designer for the TV show Conan.

His Comedy Sketches

On Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Pierre Bernard Jr. became well-known for his "Recliner of Rage" sketches. In these segments, he would share his strong opinions while sitting in a recliner chair. He often talked about very specific things that only a few people might know about. These topics included details about comic books, Japanese animation (anime), and science fiction stories.

His Role in Stargate SG-1

One of Pierre Bernard's "Recliner of Rage" segments became very popular with fans of the TV show Stargate SG-1. In this segment, he complained that Stargate SG-1 was better when the character Dr. Daniel Jackson was not on the show. Dr. Jackson, played by Michael Shanks, had left the show for a while. Pierre felt that Dr. Jackson's return made the show have fewer action scenes.

Becoming a Stargate Character

The people who made Stargate SG-1 saw Pierre's funny sketch. They were so excited that he gave their show national TV attention. So, they offered him a small acting role as an extra on an episode of SG-1. His character was a technician named O'Brien, named after Conan O'Brien.

The filming of Pierre's role was recorded and shown on Late Night. When asked if he would come back for another episode, he showed a clip where his character, O'Brien, gets shot. This happened right after he greeted Dr. Jackson, making it a funny nod to his original complaint.

More Stargate Appearances

Pierre was even invited to a Stargate SG-1 fan convention as a special guest. This event was also recorded and shown on Late Night. He later appeared in the 200th episode of SG-1. In this episode, he played a zombie version of O'Brien and was shot again by a main character.

After Stargate SG-1 was canceled, Pierre returned to his "Recliner of Rage" to complain about the show ending. He even got to talk about it on Conan O'Brien's show. In a follow-up sketch, Conan O'Brien pretended to help Pierre by having comedian Jon Lovitz call the TV network to ask them to bring Stargate SG-1 back.
