Pierre Nanterme (born September 7, 1959 – died January 31, 2019) was an important French business leader. He was the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Accenture. Accenture is a big company that helps other businesses with advice and services all over the world.

Early Life and Education
Pierre Nanterme was born in France in 1959. He went to a well-known school in Paris called the ESSEC Business School. In 1981, he earned a master's degree in management. After finishing his studies, he completed his military service in France.
His Career at Accenture
Pierre Nanterme started working at Accenture in 1983. At that time, the company was known as Andersen Consulting. Early in his career, he led the banking and finance team in France. He became a partner at the company in 1993.
Between 1993 and 2005, Nanterme held many important jobs. He managed financial services for Europe, Africa, and Latin America. He also led the global insurance group.
In 2005, Nanterme became the managing director for Accenture in France. The next year, he joined Accenture's main leadership team. He became the company's chief leadership officer. In this role, he helped develop future leaders at Accenture.
In 2007, Nanterme was named the chief executive of Accenture's global financial services group. This group worked with clients in banking, insurance, and stock markets.
In October 2010, Accenture announced that Nanterme would be the next chief executive officer. He also joined the company's board of directors. He officially became CEO on January 1, 2011. In February 2013, he also took on the role of chairman.
On January 11, 2019, Nanterme stepped down from his roles as chairman and CEO. He left due to health reasons. He worked at Accenture for a total of 36 years.
