Pihtipudas is a small municipality located in Finland. It is part of the Central Finland region. As of August 2013, about 4,386 people called Pihtipudas home. It is surrounded by several other municipalities. These include Haapajärvi, Keitele, Kinnula, Pielavesi, Pyhäjärvi, Reisjärvi, and Viitasaari.

Villages and Communities
The municipality of Pihtipudas is made up of several smaller villages. Each village adds to the unique character of the area. Some of these villages are Alvajärvi, Elämäjärvi, Ilosjoki, Korppinen, and Kärväskylä. Other villages include Muurasjärvi, Peninki, Rönny, Saani, Kojola, and Seläntaus. The main village is also called Pihtipudas.

Nature plays a big role in Pihtipudas. The region is home to some large and beautiful lakes. The biggest lakes nearby are Lake Kolima, Lake Alvajärvi, and Lake Muurasjärvi. These lakes are great for outdoor activities.
