Pike, once known as Pike City, is a small community in Sierra County, California, United States. It's a special kind of place called a census-designated place, which means it's an area identified by the government for collecting population data. Pike is located about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) west-southwest of Alleghany.
The community got its name from Pike County, Missouri. A post office first opened here in 1877 as Pike City Post Office. It changed to Pike Post Office in 1895 and closed in 1954. In 2020, about 159 people lived in Pike.
