The Pilgrim Presbyterian Church is an old and special church building. It is located in the Mount Adams area of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It's close to the Ida Street Viaduct.

It was built way back in 1886. The church is made mostly of brick. It has a cool style called Gothic Revival. A local architect named Charles E. Iliff designed and built it. The church has two floors and a tall bell tower right in the middle. Look closely and you'll see other neat features. These include round "rose windows" and pairs of windows on the second floor. The whole building looks very balanced and even.

About Pilgrim Presbyterian Church

Cincinnati used to have many Presbyterian churches. But the Mount Adams neighborhood was mostly Catholic at first. The Pilgrim Presbyterian Church was the very first Protestant church built there.

Today, the original church group no longer meets here. The building is now owned by Pilgrim Chapel United Church of Christ. It is no longer listed as a Presbyterian church in Cincinnati.

A Special Historic Building

In 1980, the former Pilgrim Presbyterian Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places. This is a list of important places in American history. The church was chosen because of its unique design. It was also important for its role in the local history of Cincinnati.
