Pine Creek is a cool stream, about 21 miles (34 kilometers) long. It flows into a bigger river called the Upper Iowa River. Think of it like a smaller road joining a main highway! There's another small stream with the same name nearby, so don't get them mixed up.
Where Pine Creek Starts
Pine Creek begins its journey in the southern part of Fillmore County, Minnesota. This is between two towns called Harmony and Canton. From Minnesota, it crosses the border into Winneshiek County, Iowa. It flows through a place called Burr Oak Township.
Pine Creek's Path
The creek generally flows from the southwest towards the southeast. It eventually meets the Upper Iowa River near a town called Bluffton. This meeting point is in Bluffton Township. Most of Pine Creek's path is through quiet countryside. You'll see some open farmland, but also lots of beautiful forests along its banks.
