Where is Pioneer Junction?
Pioneer Junction is in the southern part of Lincoln County. It is located right along U.S. Route 2, a major highway.
To the north of Pioneer Junction is another community called White Haven. The county seat, Libby, is about 4 miles (6.4 km) north. You can reach Libby by taking US 2.

The area is nestled between two creeks. Libby Creek is to the east. Big Cherry Creek is to the west and flows into Libby Creek.
Libby Creek flows north and eventually joins the Kootenai River near Libby. The Kootenai River is part of the larger Columbia River system. This means water from these creeks eventually makes its way to the Pacific Ocean.
