Pioneer Park Lake is a cool lake located in Zolfo Springs, Florida. You can find it inside Pioneer Park. This lake is sometimes called "Twin Lakes," but that name isn't quite right. There is only one main, permanent lake. The "twin" part is just a small area that collects water only when there's a lot of rain.
About Pioneer Park Lake
This main lake is man-made, meaning people built it. It's shaped almost like a rectangle. The lake covers an area of about 80.5 acres (which is about 32.5 hectares).
What You Can Do at the Lake
At the northeast corner of the lake, there's a small fishing dock. The entire lake is surrounded by a walking trail, perfect for a stroll. On the west side, you'll find picnic tables and shelter-houses where you can relax and have a meal.
Lake Surroundings
To the south of the lake is Florida State Road 64. The Peace River is about 500 foot (150 meter) to the west. The Peace River also winds around the same distance to the north of the lake.
Rules for the Lake
It's important to know that you are not allowed to go boating or swimming in Pioneer Park Lake. The only activity permitted here is fishing.
