How the Movie Was Made
This film is a "compilation film." This means it was created by taking scenes from the 1969 Pippi Longstocking TV series and editing them together. Instead of filming a brand new movie, the filmmakers used existing footage. This allowed them to create a new story for the big screen using the popular TV show's material.
