Karin Inger Monica Nilsson (born May 4, 1959) is a Swedish actress and singer. She became famous as a child actress. She is best known for playing Pippi Longstocking in the Swedish TV series that came out in 1969. This series was later made into two movies and dubbed into many languages, including German and English. In 1970, she played Pippi again in two more movies. In 2005, she worked as a secretary in Stockholm, but she also took on small acting roles sometimes.

Inger Nilsson was only eight years old when she was chosen to play Pippi Longstocking. First, she starred in a TV series. After that, she made four movies as Pippi.

After her time as Pippi Longstocking, Inger trained to become a medical secretary. However, she decided to continue her career as an actress. She worked as a property master at the East Gothland Theatre. She also acted in several plays there.

Since 2007, she has been on the German TV channel ZDF. She plays the character Ewa, a forensic pathologist, in the TV series Der Kommissar und das Meer. This show's English title is The Inspector and the Sea.

In 2009, Inger Nilsson was a celebrity contestant on a show called Kändisdjungeln.

In 1975, Inger Nilsson received an award called TP de Oro. She won in the "Most Popular Personage" category. This award was for her famous role in the Pippi Longstocking TV series.
