Inger Nilsson (born May 4, 1959) is a Swedish actress and singer. She became famous as a child actress. Inger is best known for playing the lively character Pippi Longstocking. She starred in the Swedish TV series about Pippi in 1969. This series was later turned into two movies and translated into many languages, including German and English. In 1970, she played Pippi again in two more movies. In 2005, she worked as a secretary in Stockholm, but she also took on small acting parts in plays.

Inger Nilsson's Acting Journey
Inger Nilsson was only eight years old when she was chosen to play Pippi Longstocking. First, she filmed a TV series. Then, she made four movies as Pippi. After her time as Pippi, Inger trained to be a medical secretary. However, she decided to continue her career as an actress. She worked behind the scenes as a property master at the Östgöta Theatre. She also acted in many different plays.
Since 2007, Inger has been a regular on a German TV show called Der Kommissar und das Meer. In this series, she plays a character named Ewa, who is a forensic pathologist. This means Ewa helps solve crimes by studying scientific evidence.
In 2009, Inger Nilsson was a contestant on a Swedish celebrity reality show called Kändisdjungeln.

In 1975, Inger Nilsson received a special award called TP de Oro. She won in the "Most Popular Personage" category. This award was given to her for her amazing role in the Pippi Longstocking TV series.
