The Swedish TV series was also turned into movies. In 1969, two feature films were made from the TV show. These films were dubbed into German. Later, they were dubbed into English for release in the United States. They became popular weekend movies on TV in America during the 1970s and 1980s.

There were also two new movies made in 1970. These movies used the same actors and crew from the TV series. They were also dubbed into English for release in the USA.
