Villa Villekulla is a famous house from the stories of Pippi Longstocking. Pippi is a super strong and fun-loving girl. She lives in this house with her horse and her pet monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Outside the house, there's a special tree. It grows bottles of a Swedish soft drink called Sockerdricka!

The Real Villa Villekulla

The house you see in the old Pippi Longstocking TV shows and movies is a real building. It was used for filming in the 1960s and 1970s. The TV series featured Inger Nilsson as Pippi.

This special house was first located in a place called Vibble in Sweden. It stood in a garden near the city of Visby on the island of Gotland. After the filming, the house was moved.

It now stands at a fun park called Kneippbyns Summerland. This park is about three kilometers from its original spot. You can still visit Villa Villekulla there today! The garden where the filming happened can also still be seen. A large Scots pine tree now grows where the house once stood.
