Planet of the Apes is an American science fiction movie released in 2001 and directed by Tim Burton. It was based on the novel La planète des singes written by Pierre Boulle and released in 2001 and is a remake of the 1968 movie. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg and features Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Clarke Duncan and Paul Giamatti. It was released by 20th Century Fox.
