This impressive bullring was built a long time ago, in the 19th century. Its construction finished in the year 1880. The design of the building is called "eclectic." This means it mixes different architectural styles together. A famous architect named Manuel Portillo de Avila y Herrera designed this amazing structure.

How Big Is It?

The Real Plaza de Toros is quite large! The entire arena measures 99 meters across. The central area, where the events happen, is called the ruedo. This ruedo is 60 meters wide. The bullring can hold many people. It is estimated that 12,186 spectators can watch events here. This makes it one of the biggest bullrings in all of Spain. Only a few others, like Las Ventas in Madrid and the bullring in Valencia, are larger.
