Pleasant Run is a small river, also called a tributary, in central New Jersey, United States. It flows into a larger river called the South Branch Raritan River.
This river is about 7 miles (11 kilometers) long. It starts near a place called Cushetunk Mountain. This mountain is made of special rocks that formed deep underground. The river then flows through towns like Readington and Branchburg. Finally, it meets the South Branch Raritan River near River Road in Branchburg.
A long time ago, Pleasant Run had a different name. It was called Campbell's Brook. It was named after a person named John Campbell. He was given land around the stream back in 1685.
