Poio has both mountains and sea areas, making it a diverse place. It's next to other towns like Meaño and Meis. There's also a small island called Tambo Island in the middle of the Pontevedra bay. Even though it belongs to Poio, the Spanish Navy controls it. Visitors are not allowed to land on the island.
