Pollock is a small town located in Grant Parish, Louisiana, in the United States. It is part of the larger Alexandria Metropolitan Area. In 2010, the town had a population of 469 people. This was an increase from 376 people counted in the year 2000.

History of Pollock
The town of Pollock began in 1892. It grew around a large sawmill. The town was named after Captain James W. Pollock. He was the manager of the Big Creek Sawmill and Lumber Company.
In 2013, the Pollock Town Hall moved to a new location. It is now in the historic Foster house, which was built in 1913. The owners donated this old house to the town. This idea was arranged by Mayor Jerome Scott. The town hall is located near Louisiana Highway 8 West, across from a public park.
Geography of Pollock
Pollock is found in the southeastern part of Grant Parish. Its exact location is 31°31′29″N 92°24′32″W / 31.52472°N 92.40889°W. The town is about 118 feet (36 meters) above sea level.
U.S. Route 165 is the main road that goes through Pollock. This highway leads 16 miles (26 km) north to Georgetown. It also goes 16 miles (26 km) south to Alexandria. The town covers a total area of about 3.3 square kilometers (1.3 square miles). All of this area is land.
Pollock is located inside the Kisatchie National Forest. This is a large forest area. A place called Stuart Lake Recreational Area is part of this national forest. It is about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of the center of Pollock.

- Henry E. Hardtner: He was a very successful timber businessman and a Louisiana lawmaker. He and his brother helped create the Episcopal Camp Hardtner and Conference Center near Pollock.
- Swords Lee: He owned timber businesses in Pollock and Alexandria. He also served as a property assessor for Grant Parish and was a state representative.
- Charlton Lyons: He was a key figure in starting the modern Republican Party in Louisiana. He was the principal of Pollock High School from 1917 to 1918.
- Russ Springer: He was a professional baseball pitcher. He played for 10 different Major League baseball teams over 18 seasons, from 1992 to 2010.
- Ed Tarpley: He was the district attorney for Grant Parish from 1991 to 1997. He grew up in Pollock and now practices law in Alexandria.
