José Fernando Polozzi, born on October 1, 1955, in Vinhedo, São Paulo State, Brazil, is famously known as Polozzi. He was a talented Brazilian football (soccer) player who played as a central defender. After his playing days, he also became a football manager.

Polozzi's Football Journey

Polozzi started his amazing football journey at Associação Atlética Ponte Preta, a club in Brazil. He joined their youth team in 1972. His skills quickly helped him become a regular player on the main team.

Playing for Ponte Preta

From 1974 to 1978, Polozzi played for Ponte Preta. He was a key player, especially in 1977. That year, he helped his team perform very well in the Campeonato Paulista, a big state championship. His strong performance caught the eye of the national team coaches.

Joining the National Team

Because of his great play, Polozzi was chosen to be part of the Brazil national football team for the 1978 FIFA World Cup. This was a huge honor for him! Even though he didn't play in any international matches during the World Cup, being part of the squad was a big achievement.
