Popstar is a fun American movie from 2005. It was directed by Richard Gabai and written by Timothy Barton. This film stars the teen singer Aaron Carter in his first main movie role. The movie was released directly to video, which means it didn't play in movie theaters first. Popstar was filmed in Calabasas, California, at A.C. Stelle Middle School.
Story of Popstar
The movie follows a high school student named Jane Brighton, played by Alana Austin. Jane is really good at math. She has a big crush on J.D. McQueen, who is played by Aaron Carter. J.D. is a famous teen music star.
J.D.'s parents send him back to a regular public high school. They want him to get better grades because his school performance is dropping. If his grades don't improve, J.D. might miss an important summer music tour. This tour is very important for his music career.
To get help with his math, J.D. starts spending time with Jane. As they work together, they build a friendship.
