Preston Lacy (born August 14, 1969) is an American stunt performer, actor, and comedian. He is best known as one of the main stars of the reality stunt show Jackass.
Preston's Journey to Jackass
Preston Lacy was born on August 14, 1969, in Missouri. Before he became famous, he worked as a truck driver. Later, he moved to California. There, he started getting roles in different TV commercials.
Preston met Johnny Knoxville, one of the creators of Jackass, through Knoxville's ex-wife. She had a clothing company, and Preston helped transport fabrics for her business. Preston and Johnny became friends, and Preston started sharing ideas for the Jackass show. Even though he was first hired as a writer, Johnny Knoxville convinced Preston to join in on the wild stunts himself!
Preston's Role in Jackass
In Jackass, Preston Lacy is often seen with his friend Jason "Wee Man" Acuña. One of their most famous skits involves Preston chasing Wee Man down public streets. They usually wear only their briefs and white tank tops. Preston is known for his larger size, which adds to the humor of these chases.
Preston has come up with many of the funny and crazy ideas that became popular Jackass stunts. He is also known for getting angry sometimes during the show, which makes for memorable moments. For example, he had a famous outburst during the "Eggnog Challenge" on the Jackass Christmas Special. It was also shown in Jackass 2.5 (2007) that Preston has a very strong fear of heights.
Preston's Other Work
Besides Jackass, Preston Lacy has worked on many other projects. He has acted in several movies, including National Lampoon's TV: The Movie and Christmas in Wonderland. He also appeared in all the Jackass movies, like Jackass: The Movie (2002), Jackass Number Two (2006), Jackass 3D (2010), and Jackass Forever (2022).
Preston is also a stand-up comedian. He has performed comedy shows in many places across the United States, including New York and Florida. He has appeared at festivals, clubs, and bars, making people laugh with his jokes.
He has also been a guest on various TV shows, such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Ridiculousness. He even lent his voice and movements for the video game Jackass: The Game in 2007.
