Princess Françoise of Monaco (born Marie Françoise Thérése; July 20, 1728 – June 20, 1743) was a member of the famous Grimaldi family. She was a daughter of Princess Louise Hippolyte, who was the ruling Princess of Monaco at the time. People often called her "Mademoiselle d'Estouteville".

Early Life and Family

Princess Françoise was born in 1728. Her full name was Marie Françoise Thérése Grimaldi. She was the youngest daughter of Princess Louise Hippolyte of Monaco and her husband, Prince Jacques I of Monaco.

Her special title, "Mademoiselle d'Estouteville", came from one of the areas her father, Prince Jacques, ruled as a duke. This was a common way for royal children to be known back then.

A Short Life

Princess Françoise never married during her short life. Sadly, she passed away in Paris, France, when she was only 14 years old. Her death was caused by a serious illness called smallpox.
