Park History

Pulaski State Park was created in 1939. This means it's been around for over 80 years! A group called the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) helped build parts of the park. The CCC was a program in the 1930s that gave jobs to young men during a tough economic time. They worked on projects like building roads and parks, helping to create many of the beautiful outdoor spaces we enjoy today.

In 1940, the state of Rhode Island got permission to use the land for what became Pulaski State Park and Peck Pond. This area is located near the border of Glocester and Burrillville.
