Pulpí is a cool town, also called a municipality, located in the Almería province of Spain. It's part of a larger area called Andalusia, which is an autonomous community in southern Spain. This means it has its own government and rules, but it's still part of Spain.

The number of people living in Pulpí has changed over time. In 1999, there were about 5,375 people. By 2005, this number had grown to 7,600. Today, there are even more residents, showing that Pulpí is a growing and lively place.

The World's Biggest Salad!
Imagine a salad so big it could feed a whole town! On September 29, 2007, Pulpí did something amazing. They made the world's largest salad! This giant salad weighed a massive 6,700 kilograms (that's about 14,740 pounds!).
It was made with lots of fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and olives. Twenty cooks worked for three hours to prepare it. A special Guinness World Records judge was there to make sure everything was done correctly and to confirm that Pulpí had set a new world record. The huge container for the salad was 18 meters (59 feet) long and 4.8 meters (15.7 feet) wide. That's longer than a school bus!
The Amazing Pulpí Geode
One of the most incredible discoveries in Pulpí is the Pulpí Geode. A geode is like a hollow rock that is lined with crystals inside. This particular geode is special because it's one of the largest and best-preserved crystal geodes in the world!
It was found in December 1999 by a group of mineral experts called the Grupo Mineralogista de Madri. They discovered it deep inside an old lead mine called Pilar de Jaravía. When you look inside, you can see huge, sparkling gypsum crystals. It's like stepping into a giant crystal cave! This amazing natural wonder attracts visitors from all over the world.
