Punta Chueca, known as Socaaix in the Seri language, is a small town where the Seri people live. It's located on the beautiful Gulf of California in the Mexican state of Sonora. This town is about 25 kilometers (around 15 miles) north of a popular fishing and tourist spot called Bahía de Kino. Both Punta Chueca and Bahía de Kino are part of the larger area known as the Municipality of Hermosillo.

In Punta Chueca, you can find small shops, a primary school for younger children, and a special secondary school called a telesecundaria. This type of school uses satellite TV to help students learn. Punta Chueca is also very close to Tiburón Island, which is separated from the mainland by a narrow stretch of water called the Canal del Infiernillo (or Xepe Coosot). In 2010, a count showed that about 520 people lived in Punta Chueca.
