Quebrada Arenas is a community, also known as a barrio, located in the town of Maunabo, Puerto Rico. It is found on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 1,667 people called Quebrada Arenas home.

History of Quebrada Arenas
Quebrada Arenas has an interesting past. It is home to a special place called Cueva del Indio. This is a prehistoric rock art site. Today, it is a public park where you can see ancient drawings.
Becoming Part of the United States
After the Spanish–American War, Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States. This happened in 1898 under the Treaty of Paris of 1898. The United States Department of War then took a census in 1899. This census counted the people living in Puerto Rico. It found that Quebrada Arenas and a nearby barrio called Talante had a combined population of 1,140 people.
