Quebrada Honda is a special area called a district in Costa Rica. It's part of the Nicoya canton, which is like a county. This district is located in the Guanacaste province, a beautiful region in the country of Costa Rica.
History
Quebrada Honda became a district on July 11, 1967. It was officially created by a special rule called Decreto 12. Before that, it was part of the Mansión area.
Geography
Quebrada Honda covers an area of about 106 square kilometers. That's like a square about 10 kilometers on each side. The district is located at an elevation of 23 meters above sea level. This means it's not very high up, close to the coast.
