Queens Well is a small community located in Pima County, Arizona. It is known as a "populated place," which means it's an area where people live. However, it does not have its own official city government. Queens Well sits about 2,041 feet (622 meters) above sea level.
About Queens Well
Queens Well is found in the Schuk Toak District. This area is on the east side of the Tohono Oʼodham Nation. The Tohono O'odham Nation is a large area of land belonging to the Tohono O'odham people.
History and Water
In the 1970s and 1980s, several special wells were built in Queens Well. These wells used solar power to pump water. Solar power means they used energy from the sun to work. This helped the community get water in a sustainable way.
Community Leadership
The people of Queens Well choose their own leaders. In the 2023 Tohono O'odham Nation Election, Katrina Lopez was chosen. She became the community representative for Queens Well. A community representative speaks for the people living there.
