Quillabamba is a lively city in southern Peru. It is the main city of La Convención Province. This province is the largest in the Cusco Region. Quillabamba is located in a special area called the high jungle. This means it's a mix of mountains and rainforest.
Farming is very important here. People grow crops like coffee, cacao (used to make chocolate), and tea. The city is home to people from both the Andes mountains and the Amazon rainforest. This mix creates a unique culture.
The Urubamba River flows right past Quillabamba. This river is known for having valuable resources like gold and special minerals.
