Early Life and Music Beginnings
Quinn Dupree was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 15, 2004. Because her father was a master sergeant (a high-ranking military person), Quinn lived in different places like Pittsburgh and Virginia. She spent some of her childhood in Northern Virginia, specifically in Woodbridge. She briefly went to Colgan High School, which she mentioned in one of her songs. In October 2021, she moved to Fort Benning. Before she started making hyperpop music, she created a style of music called trap metal under the name yungx$t. She grew up listening to Chicago drill, a type of hip hop music.
Career Highlights
In 2019, Quinn joined a social media group called Discord. There, she became friends with other artists like Midwxst, Saturn, blackwinterwells, and Ericdoa. She released songs with many of them. During the start of the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020, she became more widely known. This happened after the experimental pop duo 100 gecs gave her a shoutout. Her songs, especially "i don't want that many friends in the first place", were added to Spotify's special hyperpop playlist.
In late 2021 and 2022, Quinn changed her music style to include more hip hop sounds. This new style was heard in her first album, Drive-By Lullabies, and her second album, Quinn.
Quinn released her third studio album, Stars Fell On Trench, on her 20th birthday, December 15, 2024. Her latest album, Lowlife, was released on July 26, 2025.
